Chinese New Year

It's the year of the dragon, and D's school put on a huge production at Bethel University to celebrate Chinese New Year. Each class had a dance and song they performed. I was impressed by the quality of the show, from the decorations to the costumes to the fact that even the kindergartners were not phased by the fact that they performed in front of an audience of 1,200!

Here are some highlights:

All of the 5th graders brought in the dragon through the audience.

One of my favorite performances by one of the 2nd grade classes.

One of D's friend's kindergarten class.

1st graders.

"Plucking turnips" by another kindergarten class.

3rd graders doing martial arts.

D's class.

Another 1st grade class.

The grand finale with the Chinese Lion Dance.

After the performance.

Xin Nian Kuai Le!
