Renaissance Festival Fall 2014

We took the kids to the Renaissance Festival this year. First stop, life-sized chess game.

Lulu's favorite place: Fairy Land. We went three times.

Gifts from fairies to bring to the next favorite place...

Mermaid Cove.

Buddy spent his money on the gold coin maze and search.

And some chances to climb Jacob's ladder (which he insisted would be so easy).

We were entertained by a giant crow before being let in to see and sit on the throne of swords.

Steve and I tried some mead. Yummy!

The kids got knighted.

Before the jousting match, they announced that kids could go onto the field and walk in a parade and have special seating to watch the jousting. While they were lining up, Buddy got chosen to be the next future king and rode in on horseback!

Damage to our cabin garage from a tree that fell on it.

Bugland by Lulu and Buddy.

Ruh-row. Bulldozer stuck in a bog.

This does not look good.

Ugh. Had to pay the neighbor who has 50 different Caterpillars to get it out with a monster sized one.

Boys and their toys.

Wild Rice Festival at Harriet Alexander Nature Center. Kids making giant bubbles.

Grinding apples into fresh cider.
