Winter 2014 Part II

Chinese New Year performance Friday night, Irish dance competition Saturday morning.

Getting ready for the O'Shea Feis (the kids' first one). This is a competition for Irish dance, but this one was only for the students of O'Shea and was more for the experience of performing in a feis (pronounced fesh). They got feedback and had numbers and live music, just like in other feis competitions.

Buddy wore cuff links from my dad as part of his outfit.

Ready to perform.

Waiting for their turn to perform.

I knit and felted monster feet slippers for the kids.

We got all ready for the Broncos playing in the Super Bowl. Too bad the game didn't turn out like we hoped!

I spent a weekend cross country skiing on a girls' weekend ski trip in Hayward, WI. There were 22 girls in two gorgeous cabins on a lake. The only two I knew were Julia and Jen. We had a great time, despite the super cold weather (par for the course this winter).

It was customer appreciation month at the Norske Nook, so we went there for pie three different times. Yum!

 Last time at Norske Nook!

Steve and I got to try out our new skis together at our cabin.

The cousins came up to the cabin for the weekend and we did some skiing, sledding and snowshoeing.
