Fondue

The kids invited the neighbor's granddaughter over to go "swimming" in the hot tub. They introduced her to polar bear style swimming--getting cold in the snow and then jumping in the hot tub. Most of the snow had melted by this time, though, so they had to find the last remaining patches of snow.

On our last night in Colorado, Becky and Andy invited everyone over to their house for a fondue feast.

Remember the rules: you have to kiss the person sitting to the left of you if you drop something in the fondue pot! Seems like the kids got lots of kisses.

Thanks for a great time in Colorado everyone. We all had a lot of fun!

Cabin Time

The traditional stop at Wilkerson Pass.

The traditional measuring on the wall with all the grandkids' heights.

This is how M fell asleep all three nights at the cabin--in someones arms.

Night #1 (Grandpa joined M in sleeping in the chair)

Night #2

Night #3

D did the same thing one night.

Sonja and I played double solitaire together every night.

On Wednesday, Steve, the kids, Gary, Meredith and I decided to get some R & R in at the hot springs at Mount Princeton Hot Springs. It was about 40 degrees outside, so not to bad. It felt great once you got into the warm, warm water.

Meredith and I fully enjoyed the warmth and relaxation of the springs. Can you see us there?

So much fun to be surrounded by the mountains.

On Thursday, Steve and the kids and I headed in to Breckenridge and did all our favorite things there.

One new thing we found was this awesome toy store. I don't know why we had never gone there before.

Lunch at Downstairs at Eric's.

Time on the mini playground.

Riding the gondola up the mountain.

Watching the skiers. Maybe D and M will do this one day?

We headed to the Breckenridge hat shop where we love to try on silly hats. The kids came with us for the first time to this store and loved picking out ones to try on.

Broncos boys.

The whole gang.

The cousins.

Fun times in the snow.

The kids loved snowmobiling.

More Friends and Family

M in full Broncos attire.

We had dinner Monday night at Darryl and Martha Layes', neighbors of Jane and Gary's that Steve grew up with (Darryl was his phy ed teacher). Their daughter is about Steve's age and her daughter is 5 just like D. The kids had fun playing together.

After dinner, Mike, Meredith and Jack arrived from OK. D was just thrilled to meet Jack and be his little mommy.

The girls.
