More mural fun. Buddy was the head model for this kid on the mural at school.
The kids and I biked from our house to the Subway in St. Anthony one afternoon. Fun!
We got some free tickets to the Festival of Nations and spent part of Sunday there. I haven't been there in years and it was the first time for the rest of the family. Lulu wore her Irish dress and Buddy wore his Chinese outfit.
We got to learn about and see a Beijing Opera performance at the FON, which we had experienced for the first time during the Chinese New Year performance at school this year by the 7th graders.
The kids asked me to chaperone their field trips this spring. Buddy's was on a Tuesday at United Noodles, an Asian grocery store. They had to find things on a scavenger hunt throughout the store.
Snack time.
The mural is looking great!
Buddy had been asking to fly his kite so we did it after school one windy day.
Lulu's field trip was two days later at the Minnesota History Center.
For Mother's Day weekend, we went on a family bike ride on the Gandy Dancer trail.
Later, we played mini golf.
Lulu wanted to buy this skirt because it was similar to one I had and she wanted us to wear them on Mother's Day. Can't argue with that!
More progress on updating the bathroom.
Julia and I went to a tea and smoothies class at TeaSource in Highland Park. It was awesome!
